We are looking for a passionate technical leader to lead our team of data scientists and engineers. With the groundwork on data infrastructure and ML Ops laid, we want you to take the team to the next level by conceiving and running initiatives to maximize the impact of data.
The role is both managerial and technical: You should be able to take full ownership of the team and decide short term and long term goal, as well as continuously prioritize engineering resources in order to deliver quick outcomes in an agile manner; on the other hand, you would also lead the team to adopt new data technologies strategically, including machine learning models and big data tools.
⭐What you will do:
-Shape the direction of data team to maximize business the impact of data.
-Plan and prioritize ML and other analytical products, including recommender system, forecasting, fraud detection, and data-driven automation tools.
-Coordinate functions within the team (data science, data engineering, etc) to develop applications in an agile manner.
-Evaluate new technologies through prototyping and experimentation.
-Coach the team by understanding their strengths and weaknesses and arrange appropriate tasks and training activities.

⭐Required Skills & Qualifications:
-4+ years of experience in data science or analytics in a consumer-facing digital business, with at least 1 year leading in house analytical projects as the product owner.
-Bachelor’s degree in any Statistics, Computer Science, or other quantitative disciplines
-Proficiency in: Applying deep learning to real world problems & SQL & Python
-Experience working with modern data infrastructure, including:
Modern cloud based data warehouse (e.g. Redshift, BigQuery)
Programmable ETL tools (e.g. Airflow)
Data streams and stream processing (e.g. Kafka, Flink, Beam)
Cloud native deployment (platforms like AWS, GCP; tools like Docker, k8s)
-Familiarity with agile software development tools and approaches, including technical management such as branch management, unit testing, and code reviews.
-Fluent Cantonese, good written English.
⭐Experiences Nice to Have:
-Apache Beam or other big data frameworks in Scala
-REST APIs development
-BI tools (e.g. Tableau)
-Full stack web development
