As a Senior UX & UI Designer, I have both local and abroad experience working with diverse teams to craft experiences that matter to people: the customers, staff, students, donors, teachers, researchers.
I enjoy crafting intuitive journeys for users on desktop and mobile devices, and love the challenge of simplifying complex concepts, data, and flows to make the experience meaningful to users.
By analysing user goals and business vision to uncover the deeper motives and drivers, I translate insights into purposeful layouts and interactions; designing for an effortless flow and interface that is quietly delightful.

At the Stroke Foundation, I get to explore and implement design improvements to online platforms to help prevent, treat, and beat stroke. This includes collaborating with the National Digital Manager and the broader team to update online content, measure online performance and enhance user experience.
At Websilk, I had the opportunity to do what I love -- translating user insights and business needs into flows and interfaces. Specialising in websites and applications, I created interactive prototypes to ideate, communicate, and test detailed concepts of user journeys, layouts, content and visuals.
By breaking down complex ideas, I helped uncover the ‘why’ behind them to bring simplicity, intuitiveness, and purpose to design solutions. User flows and layout concepts were designed and tested not only to validate the interface and functionality, but to discover user mindsets and motives that help direct the angle and focus of websites and digital products.

At Japan's largest e-commerce company, I had the opportunity to challenge the standard of Rakuten Market pages and mentored producers, fellow directors, and graduates in order to shift the focus from merchant-centric to customer-centric design.
With the aim to elevate efficiency and standardise the quality of Rakuten Market category pages, I recommended UX tools and established a mobile-first design process to ensure responsive UI and content structure that reflect buyers' decision-making process.
Loving to stay hands-on, I also redesigned seasonal and campaign websites while managing projects by liaising with producers and external digital agencies to ensure scheduled launch of topical featured microsites
Websilk is where I got to hone my interface design skills. With Axure (prototyping tool) as my aide, I crafted interactive wireframes for web sites and applications. Simplifying complex ideas to form elegant solutions was my specialty.
Visual design was also my department, including designing for accessibility (Level AA WCAG) and video production. Sometimes, I was lucky enough to work on projects where I could marry two things I love: 3D modelling and web design.
Having studied engineering and 3D animation, I was delighted when Rubicon Water approached me about creating a stylised 3D animation to describe how their automated irrigation system works. Later translated into 3 languages, this explanatory video is used for both sales and training.
During this period, I also developed my creative flair by working with several website companies as their go-to designer.
I had been designing websites since I was twelve, but it was here that I learnt about user centric design. By getting involved in detailed wireframing and user testing, I came to see that design is much more than just visual appeal: it's about architecting solutions to address user and business goals. I won't forget that this is also where I met my professional soulmate, Axure, which is still my prototyping tool of choice.
