I worked on Chrome browser worker team. The main project was “Fetch Event Worker Timing” that enabled a service worker to attach PerformanceEntry timings to a request during the fetch event handler. The timings will be exposed to the page using PerformanceResourceTiming. It contributes significantly finding bottlenecks in the network requests and caches, creating slow reports in the detail and improving loading time of pages. Also, I added new APIs the other browser vendors haven’t implemented.
I led a 3-person team to replace an existing Excel-based asset management system for the lab with a modern web application that uses Python, Django and MySQL. I taught how to write web apps to other team members.
I’m crazy about solving any problems not limited to computers. As part of this, I’ve solved problems in some sites. I learn some much algorithms, data structures and what fun coding is from it. These days I write solutions and algorithm documents about it. Rating: AtCoder (1998, top 3%), Codeforces (1776, top 3%), HackerRank (2065, top 1%) — Account: Yang33
