I was raised with both American and Japanese cultures and values. Having lived in both countries, I was able to meet many people with different backgrounds and have come to see the world in many different perspectives. I feel that this experience was indescribably valuable and has inspired me to be the designer I am today. With my designs, I want to create a bridge between Japan and America where both countries can come to understand one another better. I am driven by many passions that I love to connect with people on. We all have such unique and different lives and learning and sharing each others stories is one of the greatest things about being human.
Starting out as a marketing/logistics leader, I helped plan and share events for our members to get the most tools and resources out of our club to help them start their own business. In my last year, I had the honor of being Co-President of the club and worked hard to make sure everything was running as efficient as possible.
WMP is a non-profit organization that strives for creating a peaceful and safe world for us to live in. For this project, I wanted to create a design that was easy to read and made clear what the important facts and information from the past year were. The number of pages ended up being a bit long so in the future I would like to work on my ability to make the information more readable and more compact.
